Amy & I have had the honor for the past
15 years to co-dean family camp. These years
we have seen God move well over 150 hearts to
confess Christ as Lord. We have also seen approximately
150 homes built, plus one school and two churches.
This would have never been possible without the
combined efforts of the family camp families from
all over the nation and our leadership team from
multiple churches. The Family camp
experience has taught our sons what we hoped it
would, Christianity was meant to be lived out,
and when you live it out, it changes the world
for the better eternally.
In 2011, God is saying to us "do it again",
and we intend to do so through our partnership
with Amor Ministries. When
the body of Christ follows God's lead to grow
something, there is no limit to what He can do
through us all. Our family, Amy, Luke, Joel David
and I want to invite your family to do something
great for God, come build a home with us this
summer for a homeless family, as we live out our
faith in Christ together!

Dear Camp Dad or Mom,
The familiar children's song: " I've got
that joy, joy, joy, joy, down in my heart!"
best describes the feeling I have as I anticipate
what God will do to my heart and yours during
our mission trip together this summer. In 1995,
as head of the Hasler household, I made the initial
decision to "take our family out of our comfort
zone" and follow Christ to Mexico. God has
honored my meager step of faith by allowing me
to witness a shift in my attitude and in that
of my family members. Let me explain.
As a father of four, I felt it was important
to teach my children how to make a difference
in other people's lives by using their time and
talents. God has blessed our family with so much,
and giving up a week of vacation seemed like a
small sacrifice, at best. Little did I know that
God would use my family to render my heart tender
for further service. My children's willingness
to continue to make this our family vacation,
working without complaint, camping in the dirt,
building homes for Christ, invigorates and renews
me spiritually to serve beside this next generation
of believers.
Beth and I will be happy to answer any questions
that you have as you make preparation for this
year's camp experience. Please feel free to contact
us.
If you are a first time camper, it's not by accident
that you have taken this step of faith. Let me
assure you, God has put this team together. If
you're a veteran, you will be blessed by the fellowship
of these new team members.
Your servant,
Rod Hasler
