Q. Is it possible to be picked up by the staff on the way to cross the border?
A. No Everybody is to meet at the Baggage Claim area in Terminal 2…by the Lindbergh airplane hanging from the ceiling…by noon on Saturday, June 21st. No exceptions. If coming in earlier than Saturday, please make sure your hotel has a shuttle to the airport.

Q. Where can we find the best prices for airline tickets?
A. We suggest any of the following: orbitz.com, travelocity.com, priceline.com, expedia.com or southwest.com

Q. Do I need a passport?
A. Yes. Beginning this year all campers need to have passports to cross the Mexican border.

Q. How many pieces of luggage are we allowed?
A. Each person can check two pieces of luggage…weighing 50 lbs. or less. You may have one carry on luggage and one handbag or briefcase.

Q. Do I need an airpump for the mattresses?
A. No…we have several available at camp.

Q. May we bring small gifts for the Mexican children we are helping to build a home?
A. Yes…they are delighted with colored pencils, markers, books, mcdonaldland toys, etc.

Q. Is there an emergency number we can leave with our families at home?
A. Yes. Amor ministries will have direct radio contact with the camp. The number for Amor is 619-662-1200.

Q. If we are driving in, where do we park the car for the week we are in Mexico?
A. San Diego long term parking. The approximate cost is $75 for the week. Since meeting at the terminal this is also the most convenient place to park.

Q. Could we speak with somebody who has attended camp in the past?...with specific questions?
